A nonprofit website may not require the sleek sales pages that are normal for a business site, but if it is poorly designed, it could mean the difference between helping others or failure to do so. A nonprofit website then should have enough appeal and call to action to invite the targeted volunteers and donors of the organization.
Web design basics are of course essential to ensure success. This means a user friendly site that is easy to navigate and have the ability to create trust. Nonprofit websites should use colors, fonts and other graphic elements cautiously, to make it easy for users to navigate the site and find relevant information. This will allow users to learn and understand the cause of the organization. In addition, a good nonprofit website design will improve the chances of to raising funds.
However, it is common for charitable and nonprofit organizations to have budget limitations. Thus, their requirement for an attractive and effective website is often compromised. Nonprofit WordPress themes will often be a good solution for this situation and I am not surprised that more and more websites are being build using WordPress.
